Outreach Teaems

This is a new ministry that will give new moms here at KUMC a little helping hand once they get home from the hospital with their baby. If you would like to provide a meal for a new mom and dad in our congregation, please give Julia Volle a call at the church office. They'll add your name to the list and give you a ring when there is a need.

You'll be informed of any allergies, directions for delivery, etc. You would be able to pick a date that works best into your schedule. A meal would consist of what you would consider a meal for your own family [entree, side or
salad, bread, (dessert optional)]. If you don't like to cook but would love to help, you can always pick up a prepared meal and drop it off for the new family too. Julia will coordinate several meals for the first two weeks after a new mom is home from the hospital.

Starting in February, the Piecemakers will begin making some interesting and fun crafts that they will use for their fund raising sale in the fall. So, if you're not a quilter and want to get out on a dreary Friday morning, please come and join the Piece makers in Fellowship Hall anytime after 9 am…just follow the sounds of joy and laughter and you will find us!. Items on the list include, layered, geometric, colorful hot pads, reindeer towels, angel towel-potholders, to name just a few. Another new beginning for us is that starting in 2010, we will make a small cuddly blanket for our babies who are being baptized. February is the month of love - and we all love.

Friday mornings!!
Much love -
The Piecemakers
