MISSIONS

Missions Team Easter Alternative
Kenmore UMC has been blessed with 2 very special people who worked in community food and nutrition. They have influenced many of us over the years and this Easter we will be honoring both of them with our Easter Alternative gift.

HELEN LAPP was a long-time member who was the sole founder of the KenTon Meals On Wheels, an agency that is still independently run and several of our members continue to volunteers there.

HELEN URBAN was one of the founders of the Food Pantry, now known as FEED MORE WNY. All your gifts to the Easter Alternative will be divided between these two organizations. Keep watch in the weekly ePrayer Chain email, our website, www.kenmoreumc.org, and our Facebook page for more information on these 2 women and the ministries they founded.

Missions Team Christmas Alternative
In the midst of crisis, faith guides a loving response. That’s how the Church World Service Blanket program started, and that’s why our congregation's gifts mean so much this year. Through your generosity vulnerable neighbors can keep warm with fresh linens and clean sleeping quarters.

The Christmas 2020 Alternative Gift was blankets for Church World Service (CWS).  We are happy to report that you gave 133 blankets that will bless people all over the world or keeping them warm, providing shelter.

THANK YOU!

Church isn’t simply a place to go but a place to go do something good.
Church isn’t just a building but a way to build strong Christians and grow in our faith.
Church IS about creating change by taking action in the world beyond our walls.
